Stuart Bristowe, Ph.D.

Patent Agent

Stuart’s practice focuses on the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in various areas of technology, including mechanical devices, communication systems, electronics, solid-state lighting, computer software, medical devices and related technologies. He provides strategic IP portfolio counselling and advises clients on patent strategy, portfolio development, invention disclosure, research documentation and inventorship. Stuart works closely with clients to ensure that their patent portfolios support their business objectives. He also corresponds regularly with a wide network of foreign associates to manage the worldwide prosecution of clients’ patent portfolios. Stuart also has extensive experience in the drafting and prosecution of industrial design applications.

Stuart is a registered patent agent in both Canada and the United States and has been practising in the intellectual property industry for over ten years.
